Can you imagine being able to experience the best of everything Kona has to offer in one space in one day on a gorgeous day in February?

Well, you can! The FIRST Best of Kona Festival is taking place at the Keauhou Shopping Center on Saturday February 8, 2020 and will feature entertainment, food/culinary experiences, demonstrations, education, activities, and more from the business/non-profit/service club community in Kailua Kona!

We are planning this lifestyle festival to run from noon til 6 pm where you can literally get a taste of what life is like in Kona.

We are currently seeking sponsors to help us create an event for residents, visitors, and would-be residents, as well as business to business connections, as well. BEST OF KONA FESTIVAL FAQ

WHAT IS IT?  The Best of Kona Festival wraps all the unique and amazing aspects of life in Kailua Kona together for a one day festival to celebrate the coveted lifestyle we enjoy and want to share with fellow residents, visitors and potential residents. The Festival will be also feature entertainment, food and education about the Hawaiian culture. 

WHO WILL ATTEND?  We are expecting at least 500 people to attend the event. The audience for the festival encompasses all age ranges and demographics as we bring in the most important aspects of a life well lived here -if you are 1 or 99 there will be something for everyone. 

WHO WILL BE THERE?  Hospitality/restaurants, agriculture, real estate, transportation, art/dance/music, health care and wellness, educational institutions, pet services,  service clubs, non-profit organizations, government, and more. 

WHO IS ORGANIZING IT?

The Best of Kona Festival organizers are Julie Ziemelis, Ziemelis Communications and creator of 365Kona/ 365 Things to Do in Kona, Nichole Lear, owner of 45 Degrees North-Design with Latitude and creator of the Big Island Guide and Aesha Shapiro, owner of Aesha Rose Event and Design and creator of the Ladies Artisan Market. 

With our combined experience in creating our own media buzz, social media influence, digital marketing, website and graphic design, event production, public relations and logistics, we will create an EPIC event!

Julie Ziemelis

Julie Ziemelis is an entrepreneur, business owner, author, blogger and vlogger in Kailua Kona. She created and moderates the “365 Things to Do in Kona” page and the Kona Newbies group on Facebook. She blogs at 365Kona.com and MoveToHawaii365.com and vlogs with her husband, Eric, at “365Hawaii” on YouTube.
