Imagine a lifestyle festival where you arrive to find a celebration of community unfolding in front of you, where food, culture, arts, education, entertainment and more await to show you all that Kona has to offer kama’aina, visitors and soon-to-be residents alike. THAT is the Best of Kona Festival being held on February 8, 2020 at the Keauhou Shopping Center from 12 – 6 pm

Dozens of local businesses, restaurants, food trucks, non-profits, activity providers, and clubs will be on hand to provide attendees with the best that Kona has to offer.  The Festival will focus on these core areas of life well lived SUSTAINABLY in Kona:

  • Arts and Culture
  • Culinary
  • Health and Wellness
  • Housing
  • Lifestyle

There will be educational presentations around buying a home, preparing meals using locally grown produce, how to create Hawaiian arts and crafts, how to stay fit and healthy in West Hawaii, how to lead a sustainable life in Hawaii with resources and examples, where you can volunteer in the community, how to adopt a pet, and where you can go to get a great locally sourced ocean front dinner. Combine all that with a stage featuring local dance studios, musical performances, hula, and comedy.

Best part? It is all FREE to the public to attend! There will be some ticketed opportunities for children’s activities and crafts and food vendors will be selling food.

The event is being sponsored by local businesses who see the value in creating a fantastic community building event where not only can the public enjoy themselves, but businesses can learn from one another and make new connections, as well.

We will be rolling out more information in the coming weeks including our website, but please mark your calendars! You can join in on the fun at our Facebook business page, too!
