Save the Date! 28th Annual Kona Brewers Festival Is March 11, 2023

2023 Brew Fest

The 28th Annual Kona Brewers Festival is back in original form happening March 11th, 2023.

Tickets are $100 and will be on sale at www.KonaBrewersFestival.com starting Saturday, January 14, 2023.

The Festival is proud to announce a new co-executive director of the event, Maggie Stith, who will be leading the 2023 event with long-time executive director, Kate Jacobson. This beloved event that sells out every year is hosted by The Ke Kai Ala Foundation, and is a communitycelebration and fundraiser that benefits Hawaii programs supporting environment, culture and youth. Attendees can enjoy tastings of over 30 local and craft brews, gourmet bites from over 24 local chefs, live music, and the much anticipated Trash Fashion show. To promote sustainability, Kona Brewers Festival is a zero waste event that takes place at Courtyard King Kamehamehas Kona Beach Hotel lūʻau grounds in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The event is made possible thanks to the efforts of hundreds of volunteers who do everything from pour beer, oversee operations to ensure zero waste, and throw a really great party.

Core to the events ethos is a commitment to sustainability. The festival includes live music and entertainment including the evenings highlight, the Trash Fashion Show, where artists craft elaborate haute couture fashions made from completely recycled materials. As part of a zero waste commitment, over 90% of festival waste is diverted from landfills by converting waste into composted soil for local school gardens.

Beer lovers can kick off the day at BMW Hawaii by participating in the 16th Annual Run for Hops 5K/10K Run/Walk on Saturday, March 11, at 7:30 a.m. Every year the race is staffed by generous volunteers who donate their time to host the race and all race proceeds go to benefit a local nonprofit. Check back on our website at www.KonaBrewersFestival.com for an announcement of the 2023 beneficiaries and more details on how you can race.

About The Kona Brewers Festival

The Kona Brewers Festival has a mission of promoting Hawaiis cultural values, sustainable environmental practices, and bolstering community-based programs while providing a fantastic gathering for residents and visitors alike. Over the years, this event has raised more than $1.4 million in low restriction funds for island organizations. The event took a restricted format during the COVID-19 pandemic but still managed to raise funds and provide support to local nonprofits who were so in need of the funds during that difficult time. We are grateful and honored to host this event and give back to the community.
